Welcome to Yeargh.com, sailor!
Yeargh.com is a hang-out and a safehaven from the sinister scourge known as the "official game forum". The official game forums are all ran by an evil and conspiratorial cult of corporate fuhrers and their cronies. Pirates are not allowed in their pristine waters, nor may you dissent in any way from the excessive pontifications of their God whom they call the allmighty T.o.S, or his side-kick -- the fanboi.
Secret filming of the T.o.S worshipping cult's evil rituals
Yeargh.com does not require registration, and any opinion is allowed, but to keep it readable and enjoyable to all (and to cover my arse as the owner of this here ship) we do have this little set of ship rules.
1 - The Spam Monster is not allowed to join this here party
The Spam Monster is a multi-headed hydra that manifest itself in the form of 1) unsolicited messages of a promotional nature, 2) flooding or 3) excessively uninteresting gibberish.
Bringing the Spam Monster to Yeargh.com is strictly prohibited under the penalty of decapitation and possible victim to man-eating shark interaction depending on the mood of the captin's parrot.
2 - No posting of personal information, or attacks of a personal nature
Ye stick to the issues and arguments, we'll have no part in any personal pirate vendettas. Posting someone's personal information that you may possess is therefore strictly prohibited. The penalties for breaking this rule depend on the context of each situation but will most likely have you keelhauled until you whimper like a little spoiled brat.
3 - Don't bother the captin' with requests to remove postings that "offend" you
Grow a skin, ye sorry landlubber! If you don't like someone's opinion on a subject, and it does not break the ship rules, then tell them you disagree and why that is so. Bothering the captin' about your frail sensitivities will most likely only serve to incur the wrath of the captin's parrot upon you.
4 - No posting deemed illegal under U.S. laws shall pass
We be sailin' U.S. waters so if you post anything likely to get us visited by the FBI party van, you be walkin' the plank never to return to this tight ship. Note, however, that this does not mean that you can't talk about or link to something which may or may not break some games' toilet paper T.o.S. T.o.S agreements are not U.S. law, and we have not agreed to any game T.o.S. 'round these here parts, so we wipe our arses with 'em.
5 - Stick to English
We don't mind other languages, but we'd like to know what the hell yer babblin' about if ye want to sail with this here fine ship. English is the language most of us are likely to understand, so messages in other languages are generally not permitted and considered spam as per definition 3 under rule 1.
