Spore!

So who is looking forward to Spore here? I know I am and have been since it was announced! :) I love simulation games and I'm a Sims fan already (looking forward to the Sims 3 as well).

I'm not planning to play that one but I can see how it is a fascinating game. Have you seen the Spore pics/videos that are floating around of the creatures people have mocked up with the Spore Creature Creator? Some of them are quite out there..

its odd, i mean whats the point of the game exactly?

I absolutely love the Spore Creature Creator. Some of the creatures folks have created are fascinating.
Basically, it's a game where you play god :) You start out with these creatures and, over time, they can form societies with their own customs and such. The goal is to eventually reach space age where you can explore the galaxy and other player-created worlds. The game doesn't have an end though so you can continue developing your creatures past this as well.

we took a look at teh geame when we had to do a midnight visit to make sure it was out.
They are so cute, but it didnt go into such detail on teh back of teh box.. is theer a website devoted to the game?
is it really agame though..

I really like the concept of 'Spore' and I'm excited to give it a proper shot in the future. Having seen some of the creatures people have created so far is pretty mind-blowing and I can't wait to see what else is designed.

I download spore and was all set to run it and it said my video card was too old. I guess it is time to upgrade. :(

I need a cheap card.

It looks like something my seven year old would like to play, but I am not sure what the heck that creature looks like, well actually I am and I am not sure if I want my seven year playing it.

As I understand it people will have a lot of freedom to express themselves and to mold the world in that game, so with the mentality of the average internet user in mind, no, it would not be for kids.
