i cant find any decent pc rpg, not since wizardry8. the style i prefer are games such as might and magic, blade of darkness, throne of darkness. does anyone have any suggestions?

The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is one title that comes to mind that's not too old.
However, BioWare (who developed the Baldur's Gate series, Neverwinter Nights, etc) are soon releasing Dragon Age, which is a high fantasy third-perspective pc rpg. In fact, its official site at http://dragonage.bioware.com/ says to come back on July the 9th which is 3 days from now.
Dragon Age will be fully 3D and you can tell there's some Knights of the Republic as well as Lord of the Rings influences, but it will not move away from the party structure and isometric tactical mode of combat of Baldur's Gate and other rpgs.
Looks pretty interesting but I'm sure there are more PC RPGs around in the works as well, maybe someone else can suggest more titles.

It does look very nice. I forgot about 'Oblivion' and have been meaning to pick it up for the PS3 sometime soon. Does anyone know if the console versions hold up against the PC release?

RFL1986 - I have the 360 version, and I have played the PS3 version. Although they are more fun on these consoles, the graphics are pretty shoddy.
360 version looks better than PS3. Oblivion was designed with PC and XBOX in mind and it's just a port to PS3, which is always going to be gash... look at Assassin's Creed - originally supposed to be ported to 360 but then ended up having most of it developed on the 360 and ported to PS3.

The last 3 are concept art but it does have a unique setting, I think. Any way, they are supposed to reveal more today (July 9th), clicky the link in a few hours time and see. :)
